Boy Scouting fosters the development of social skills needed to succeed in life. Life skills acquired include working in groups, accepting leadership responsibility, setting and accomplishing goals, and preparing for college and the job market. If you like what the Boy Scouts of America has to offer, come and join the Summit Creek Scouting Program (Pack 1292). We meet at the Summit Creek Community Center, 6904 Summit Creek Drive, Clinton, Maryland. We normally meet on the first three Fridays of each month during the school season, at 7:30 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. We have some activities during the summer to help the scouts maintain interest in scouting. If you (we also need adult leaders) and your son are interested, please call 301 868-7880, and leave a message for the scouts or visit us at one of our meetings. The Scouting program achieves: · Developing habits and attitudes of good citizenship. · Encouraging good sportsmanship and pride. · Growing strong in mind and body. · Strengthening the ability to get along with other boys and respect other people. · Showing how to be helpful and do one’s best. · Providing fun and exciting new things to do. |
