Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to get permission from the SCCA to build something on my lot?
Each Summit Creek homeowner signed a binding agreement to live in a community governed by a homeowner's association as one of the many pieces of paper you received at the time of settlement on your property. The rules for Summit Creek were created to protect the value of your investment in your home. We hope that you took the time to read and understand them. The rules assure the residents of certain minimum standards for land use, architectural design, and property maintenance throughout the neighborhood.

How do I submit a request to add a fence to my home?
There are procedures in the Architectural Guidelines for the community. Bottom line, the homeowner will have to submit an application to the SCCA describing what is to be done. The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) reviews the request and ensures it meets the guidelines for the community. The NAC will return the application to the homeowner with instructions.
